bimboborg.org follows the journey of an avatar from silent object of desire to a “butt kicking” girl hero. Created to undermine the normative construction of femininity still prevalent in cyberspace and other screen cultures, such as television and the cinema, the Bimbo Borg is aware that she is conceived of as a fantasy, a screen decoration. Still, though, she has courage enough to speak, to declare herself as something more than just tits and arse. The Bimbo Borg is a feminist third wave digital entity who has an individuated future. |
